my little boy’s birthday is tomorrow so i thought this was appropriate.
let’s start from the beginning. i had a little cocker spaniel growing up named Lady. i know it’s exactly like the disney movie but we didn’t name her (but i did adore that movie growing up because of her). she passed away on December 18th, 2010. i miss her very dearly.
last year, me and my roommate decided we wanted a cat. both being HUGE fans of pride and prejudice, we wanted to get a boy and name him Darcy. but obviously the name had to suit the cat, and when we found one, he just seemed more like a Bingley than a Darcy. fast forward a year and he is now the light of my life. love him to pieces. i have a tag on my blog dedicated to him, so have at it if you’d like.
since he’s turning 1 tomorrow and i’m feeling nostalgic, here’s a picture of our first day together

Bingley (the cat) watching the lizzie bennet diaries
This is a picture of my roommate trying to get my cat to twerk
Dad: What to do with Bingley? While eating my lunch, he cranks his claws then tries to grab a bowl of my rice with just one hand! While taking my nap earlier he went up and kissed me while pushing his nose on my cheek
Me: Dad that means he loves you! He was giving you cuddles!
Dad: I made Bingley a toy just like you bought for him—a stick with curling soft ball at the end—he's getting his excercise now
Me: Hahaha thanks dad!
Dad: I was scared for him—he was playing with my bag sitting on a bench—might fall on him and crush him
